Notes from The Murder Mill: No. 1
The morning of Friday, April 13, my father and I went to the entrance of the Greenville Women's Clinic (GWC) in Greenville, SC with some folks from our church. That's the place where the most babies are killed in SC. The Piedmont Women's Center (PWC), a pregnancy medical clinic that stands for life, sits directly across the road. The contrast is stark. The GWC is surrounded by a tall, dark fence, and activists from both sides often stand at its entrance. The PWC is easily visible from the road - a comfortable looking building with a spacious porch along the front. It seems that a scared young woman would be likely to feel more comfortable going to one over the other.
As soon as we arrived, I noticed the pride and BLM flags, signs saying "Honk for choice" and "abortion saves lives", and a woman in rainbow clothes. A few more pro-choice people showed up later. Children's music blared, with lyrics such as "There's two mommies in this family, and they love each other so proudly." Standing in a loose circle, we sang hymns praising God, proclaiming that His Truth lasts forever, and the ways of the evil always fall in the end. It got on the other side's nerves. They kept cranking the music up, but couldn't drown us out. At one point I heard one of them say sickeningly, "you can come sing with me!" Cars honked for killing children. An ambulance beeped its siren for killing children. But we glued our eyes to the lyrics on the rain-spattered pages and sang all the louder. At the end, our elder prayed Psalm 58. We returned to our cars and drove away as drizzle fell. As we left, several pro-life women armed with signs, a portable microphone, and rain jackets came and took a stand. We couldn't stay long, but we started the day off for them.
The left is at war. They are determined to destroy every good thing God has created - precious infant life, marriage, the nuclear family, masculinity, and more. The battle on Grove Road is just one example. The people outside the Greenville Women's Clinic play loud music and use foul-smelling spray to try to distract Christians who are singing hymns and praying. But they couldn't stop us. There were only about fifteen of us there that morning - imagine what we could do with fifty!Christians have allowed abortion to go on for far too long. Here in South Carolina, if you leave the house, you're likely to see at least one church on the way. Christianity is the largest faith in the United States. We have the numbers and power to end child-slaughter, yet thousands of Christians sit back and say, "nah, that's not true. It's not that big of a deal. Besides, we don't want to make anyone mad." Yes, it is true, and infant murder is a huge deal. The left is fighting. We must fight back.
